Jean-Yves Quentel
Chief Financial Officer
Jean-Yves is an experienced venture capital executive with more than 15 years of experience advising and investing in TMT start-ups.
Jean-Yves began his career in 1994 after joining the Paris office of Atlas Venture, a leading transatlantic, high tech venture capital firm. From 1994 to 1999, Jean-Yves worked on a number of European and US software and consumer services investments such as Ilog (Nasdaq: ILOG), AlloCine, the largest provider of cinema information and e-commerce services in Europe, SpotFire (recently acquired by TIBCO), Castle Networks (later sold to Siemens) and Omnia Communications (sold to Ciena).
In 1999, Jean-Yves left Atlas Venture to join Europ@web, an Internet holding company funded by Bernard Arnault, CEO of LVMH, as a Senior Vice President and one of the Company's first European employees. While at Europ@web, in addition to being actively involved in growing the global Europ@web team, Jean-Yves led and monitored a number of investments, mostly in the consumer-to-consumer auction space. One of his investments, EachNet, was eventually sold to eBay in 2002.
In 2002, Jean-Yves joined Logispring, a venture capital fund focused on supply chain technology investments, as a Partner where he led the fund's investments in SeeWhy (real-time business intelligence; UK), Solsoft (network security policy management; France) and Xterprise (RFID integration services; US). He was also closely involved in the investment in Optiant, a Boston-based provider of supply chain optimization software.
In 2007, Jean-Yves joined Go4Venture, an international, technology-focused merchant bank, where he is mostly involved in Equity Private Placement projects for European growth companies.
Jean-Yves is a graduate of the Ecole Supérieure des Sciences Economiques et Commerciales (ESSEC), one of France's Grandes Ecoles of business.
