Randy Rorden

VP & Engineering Director - Java

Randy has over 28 years experience developing computer hardware and software products in a wide variety of commercial markets, including medical, computer-based training, scientific workstations, multi-user UNIX systems, storage systems, PC networking, wireless messaging, and Internet communications. Randy joined Newmonics, Inc., creator of PERC, as VP Engineering in 1999. He has continued as VP for Aonix and now Atego, where he is responsible for development, testing, documentation, and support of the PERC product family of embedded Java tools. Prior to Newmonics, he was the General Manager of Product Development at IKON Office Solutions’ Technology Services division in Tucson, Arizona. Prior to IKON, Randy was a Software Development Manager and later the Director of Engineering for Artisoft, Inc., where he managed development of the popular LANtastic network operating system for PCs. Prior to Artisoft, he was the Director of Engineering for Sanyo/ICON, a subsidiary of Sanyo Electric Co., of Japan.

Randy holds patents in the areas of computer memory architecture and high-speed digital communications. He has a Bachelors degree in Electrical Engineering from Brigham Young University.
