Overview

What are the most common DO-254 mistakes? Remember, bad luck is not the cause of mistakes, just as those same mistakes are not prevented through good luck. Mistakes are the result of a lack of understanding, planning, and applying DO-254’s true intent. Are you receiving the correct guidance for the design assurance of your complex electronic hardware (CEH) in airborne systems and equipment for use in aircraft or engines?

This airborne electronic hardware development guidance webinar is the counterpart to the well-established software standard RTCA DO-178B. With DO-254, the FAA has recognized that airborne systems are comprised of both hardware and software, with each being equal in importance. The DO-254 guideline is applicable to all hierarchical stratifications of hardware developed for airborne systems.
